Key Decisions Coming This Week Impact National, State and Local Economy for 2014

December 17th, 2013 | WMFE – Two key economic decisions are expected this week that will have a big impact on the local, state and national economy in 2014. The U.S. Senate is expected to vote today on a two-year budget deal that would set spending at about a trillion dollars a year. The House has already approved the measure. Also, a meeting of the Federal Reserve is scheduled this week, the last with Ben Bernanke as Chairman. A major announcement is expected. Economic analyst Hank Fishkind tells 90.7’s Nicole Creston about the impact of these two issues, starting with a look at the proposed budget legislation.
