A drop in consumer spending is keeping the nation’s gross domestic product lower than expected, and that has a major impact not only across the country, but on the everyday lives of Floridians. 90.7’s economic analyst Hank Fishkind says the numbers came as an unpleasant surprise to many experts in his field…and they may be signaling a “new normal.”
